You probably already know your phobia is irrational.
You’ve told yourself to just get over it.
But when fear takes over, your brain isn’t listening to logic, because it’s running on stored memories, powerful emotions, and a built-in survival instinct
Together, we can help it learn a new, calmer response.
Phobias Aren’t a Choice.. Changing Them Can Be
Whether it’s a fear of needles, dentists, dogs, public speaking, flying, or spiders or something different – a simple phobia has a hard edge.
You know what sets it off.
You can often recall the earliest moment it began, or at least the intense memory that keeps looping.
And while you might not want to love the thing that scares you, what you want, more than anything, is to feel in control again.
“I want to be able to tolerate it. To get through it. To not have it ruin everything else.”
What Makes This Different?
Unlike exposure therapy or CBT (which often feel brutal or ineffective and take many weeks of therapy), this approach works with your brain, not against it.
In just 4 structured sessions, we’ll:
🔸Calm your overactive stress response
🔸Break the brain’s stored fear loop using the REWIND technique
🔸Rebuild a safe, rational template using REFRAME in guided trance
🔸Give you back a sense of control — without needing to relive trauma or force exposure
All from the comfort of your own home.
How It Works
✨Session 1: Reset the Foundation
Foundation Session + Brain Talk (how phobias form and store in the hippocampus).
You’ll receive a relaxing hypnosis MP3 to listen to every night, calming the brain and emptying your stress bucket.
✨Session 2: Prepare for Change
We begin with “What’s Been Good” to shift into the rational brain, followed by ”couch time’ where you will experience the deeply relaxing benefits of trance.
✨Session 3: Break the Loop (REWIND)
We safely collapse the fear template using the guided REWIND technique while in light trance; think of it as pulling out the blocks of a Jenga tower until it collapses.
✨Session 4: Build the New (REFRAME)
You describe your ideal scenario, what your experience looks like once the fear is gone.
I then guide you through it in full sensory language during deep trance, laying new neural foundations; think of it as building a new Jenga tower on solid foundations.
What Phobias Can It Help With?
🔸Needle phobia & dentists
🔸Flying
🔸Public speaking
🔸Spiders or snakes
🔸Other simple phobias
*Note: This process is for simple phobias with clear triggers and memory links. This process is not suitable for complex phobias (e.g. claustrophobia, fear of death, fear of heights, agoraphobia, emetophobia). If your fear is complex or unclear, a different approach may be needed. The best way to tell the difference between simple and complex phobias is whether you think about the thing that frightens you when the trigger isn’t there. Eg; If you are afraid of snakes, do you think about them when they are not present? If the answer is no, then it’s most likely a simple phobia. If unsure, call me for a discovery chat and I’ll guide you
What My Clients Say
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I didn’t think this would work as I had already tried CBT and it didn’t work. I couldn’t even have my blood pressure taken without panic. I heard about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and found Michelle through recommendation. I am so glad I did! After working with Michelle, not only did the fear disappear, but my readings actually dropped for the first time in months. I now walk into appointments really calm and with no anxiety.“
Karen — Health anxiety sufferer (Google)
“I got on a plane for the first time in 28 years due to Michelle’s calming meditation. A little pre- listening and I was the epitome of calm during the flight. Wasn’t even spoked by the rough landing!”
Lucy — Fear of flying (Facebook)

What the Research Says About Hypnotherapy for Phobias
There’s solid evidence behind using hypnotherapy to treat phobias.
As far back as 1984, a review found hypnosis to be both efficient and effective for tackling specific fears. More recently, a 2022 study showed significant reductions in anxiety and avoidance for people with dental phobia. A 2023 randomised controlled trial found that hypnotherapy also helped those with agoraphobia, with improvements that lasted well after treatment ended. Even brief approaches, such as two well-structured sessions, have been shown to ease intense phobic responses.
It’s a good reminder that change doesn’t have to take forever when the right methods are used.
